The following running training information is now available to download from the Females in Training Members Facebook group:

  • FIT 12 Week Plan to Chal CBR – while the Challenge Canberra Training Program is currently in it’s 4th week (Base Building phase), the program incorporates the regular Tuesday morning interval sessions. The file contains all the interval sets through to 12 October (week of the Challenge races). For you tech-savvy members, here’s your chance to program your fitness watches! There is also a handy scale which describes the Relative Perceived Effort (RPE) you should aim for during each session.
    • The next 4 weeks are the Build Phase, followed by a 3-week Peak Phase, before Taper week before race day.
  • Stromlo Running Festival 2024 – DIY Plan – while the club isn’t offering a paid, coach-led program this year, Coach Celine has pulled together an excellent plan for members who would like to take on the 10km or 15km distances at this year’s Stromlo Running Festival.

Please note that the Stromlo Running Festival and Challenge Canberra multisport races both fall on the weekend of 16-17 November.

To locate the files on the group page, click on the Files tab in the page menu (see image). If you are accessing on a mobile device, you can scroll across the menu tabs to find them.
